For this automotive air conditioner cover mould, our customer and MDC Mould have applied for GWR(Guinness World Records) due to large part size&mold weight for the new technology of this part, and finally passed.

In comparison with metal, weight has been reduced around 65%. The molded products produced exceed 5 square meters, which is the largest thermoplastic composite product in the world. And the molded products have passed the rigorous vibration test.

This big mold for MDC was a milestone, which means MDC Mould is able to make big compression mold till 100 Tons. We use compression molding technology, this can form a uniform part without any trace. The surface is smooth without secondary modification. The product has high dimensional accuracy and small shrinkage.
